technology delivers. With the iKnow appliance, all 3270 or 5250
screens passing through your network are captured and archived to a
fully queryable database. Every screen and every keystroke is
recorded, allowing you to setup a passive recording capability to
satisfy audit requirements, or establish a reactive environment
which notifies you of specific events. All screens passing in or out
of your network are recorded for retrieval or replay using the
intuitive Windows
client interface. Business rules can be established to trigger
alerts based on specific fields, user
access or even repetitive events such as
unusually frequent logons.

What’s more, the
iKnow appliance goes beyond improving compliance and security and
audit tracking, adding value by enabling other uses. For example,
your help-desk can replay a user’s session to actually see the same
interaction the user reports. By establishing business rules, you
could even monitor response time by triggering an alert if a certain
process exceeds the desired time.
The iKnow solution
resides in a self-contained, rack-mounted server which sits directly
on the network, gathering the data using patent-pending technology.
There are no components to install on the mainframe, AS/400 or
user’s environment and there is no effect on network performance.
All data is stored in a highly compressed, encrypted format in an
SQL database on the appliance.
